How to get to Sitges

By Train

From Barcelona.


‘Cercanías’/’Rodalies’ local rail line R2-Sud

Line R32 Sud links Barcelona with Sitges. There are three rail stops in Barcelona, the so-called Ciutat Comtal or County City.

Barcelona-Estació de França station
Located on Avinguda del Marquès de l'Argentera, 1, near the Parc de la Ciutadella, between the neighbourhoods of La Barceloneta and La Ribera (also known as the Borne district).
Metro Line L4
Barcelona-Passeig de Gracia station
The subterranean station on Passeig de Gracia (serving both train and metro lines) is located on the crossroads with Carrer Aragó, approximately between numbers 43 and 51 on Passeig de Gracia, in the Eixample district.
Metro lines L2, L3 and L4
Barcelona-Sants Station
Located in the Sants district (Plaça dels Països Catalans, s/n - no number) this railway station is the main hub for long distance national and international trains.

From Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport to Sitges



The airport train station is located in front of Terminal T2, accessible via a walkway. There is also a (free) Bustransit transfer service which runs between the station and Terminal T1.

To get to Sitges from the airport, you will need to change at El Prat de Llobregat station and catch a train to Sitges in the opposite direction.

Itinerary: Airport - El Prat de Llobregat (1 stop). Going from the airport, from 05:42 to 23:38. Every 30 minutes

Change onto R2 Sud line. El Prat de Llobregat - Sitges. Trains every half an hour. Travel time: 24 minutes.


From the AVE station (high speed train) to Sitges


We suggest that you stay on the train until reaching Barcelona-Sants Station and then change onto an R2 Sud line train, as Camp de Tarragona station does not serve the local ‘cercanías’/’rodalies’ lines.

By Car

From Barcelona (38 Km 45 min)


Take the Pau Casals Motorway C-32 (toll charge). Follow signs to Sitges and Tarragona. Exit 30.

Alternatively take the C-31 (18km of which are on the coastal corniche road)


From Barcelona El Prat Airport (32km 30min)


C-32 Pau Casals Motorway (toll charge) in the direction of Sitges, Tarragona. Exit 30.

Alternatively take the C-31 (18km of which are on the coastal corniche road).


From France


Cross the French-Spanish border into the province of Girona on the AP-7 motorway (toll charge) – a continuation of the French A-9 motorway. After Granollers, take the C-33. Then take the C-58 following the signs for Barcelona Rondas/C-32/Airport.

Continue on the B-20 and follow signs for the C-32 motorway (toll charge) to Sitges. Exit 30.

By Bus

From Barcelona


The BusGarraf company operates a service between the towns of Sitges, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Sant Pere de Ribes and the city of Barcelona. Not all of them stop at the airport.

The Barcelona bus service starts at Gran via de les Corts Catalanes, 588. There is another stop on Carrer Sepúlveda and another one in Plaça d’Espanya square. In Sitges, you can find the bus stop opposite Can Robert park, on Avinguda Vilanova, 14.

the BusGarraf stop is located outside Terminal 1 (T1). If you arrive at Terminal 2 (T2), you will need to catch the free airport bus which takes you to T1 (the journey is 4 km and the time is between 10 and 15 minutes).

The bus stop for the T2 to T1 line can be found underneath the bridge, outside T2B.

Buses arrive every 7 minutes 24 hours a day.

By Plane

Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat International Airport is located 28 kilometres from Sitges. The airports of Reus and Girona are 67 km and 135 km away, respectively.

By Taxi

From Barcelona city


From Barcelona, it is easy to find a taxi that provides the transport service to Sitges, although the price can be high compared to public transport (around € 75-85) and the cost of the motorway toll is charged separately. Barcelona taxis are black and yellow.

From Barcelona’s “El Prat” Airport


At Barcelona airport, at any main exit of Terminal 1 (T1) or Terminal 2 (T2) there is a taxi rank available to new arrivals. The cost is the one indicated on the meter plus the surcharges corresponding to luggage, the airport or port and highways (see rates inside the taxi). The cost can be between € 60-75 from T1 and € 65-80 from T2.
